It was confirmed last month that MindTech HTC was successful in achieving funding from NIHR to develop a new Paediatric Healthcare Technology theme. The new theme will be led by Professor Cris Glazebrook and will potentially lead to improvements in the quality of life and effectiveness of services for children and young people with mental health problem and other long term health conditions and vulnerabilities.

Professor Chris Hollis, MindTech Director added, "I am delighted that NIHR have agreed to fund our new Paediatric Theme. Given the high level of unmet need, there is growing recognition that children and young people's mental healthcare is the area with potentially the most gain from emerging digital technologies including e- and mHealth. This theme will offer children and young people the opportunity to identify potential e- and mHealth solutions to unmet clinical needs and to participate in co-design and pilot testing".
