The funding you should apply for to support your product development depends very much on the development stage you are at.

One funding scheme that we often apply to with industry partners is the NIHR i4i (Invention for Innovation) Product Development Award. This is a fairly advanced award, which does support the costs of some research, but is generally focused on developing a commercialisation plan for a product which already has evidence supporting its effectiveness.
