How will it work?

We will send out opportunities by email to get involved in research to the LEARN network. Opportunities will either take place online or in person and will require various levels of time, commitment, lived experience or the need for any other skills and experience. We will always be clear what to expect.

Involvement opportunities could include (but are not limited to):

  • To help us to find out what people with specific lived experience consider is important within an area of research - we might send through a quick survey to identify what is important to you.
  • To help us develop funding applications – we might invite you to apply to be part of a one-off or a number of focus groups or workshops
  • To support a project once funded – we might invite you to apply to be part of a Steering Group to guide the project from the start. This is sometimes called an Advisory Group or a Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP)
  • Reviewing documentation and providing feedback from home in your own time
