Aislinn is a Responsible Ai Transitional Assistant Professor and MindTech’s Emerging Technologies Lead.

Her research is at the intersection of emerging technologies and mental health, involving a programme of work which is aiming to bring together diverse groups of experts by experience, policymakers, industry, researchers, and other relevant parties to empower more responsible and trustworthy innovation in the development, evaluation, and implementation of digital mental health. Some highlights have included working on the gameChange project which led to a NICE Early Value Assessment for the VR intervention, contributing to the Growing Value of XR in Healthcare report that led to £20m funding from Innovate UK, the AdSoLve project developing sociotechnical evaluation metrics for LLMs in healthcare, policy impact with NICE and MHRA on areas such as adverse event reporting in digital mental health, and the development of a toolkit for charities and voluntary sectors to support decision making when adopting wellbeing technologies.
