Michael Craven, PhD, is Principal Research Fellow and MindTech Technology theme lead. He has contributed over 30 years to research and teaching in the areas of healthcare technology assessment, electronic engineering and computer science.

Additionally he is a member of the University of Nottingham Faculty of Engineering’s Human Factors Research Group and the Medical School’s Centre for Dementia, holds an honorary contract with Nottingham Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and is Health Economist in the Centre for Healthcare Equipment and Technology Adoption (CHEATA) based in the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. In MindTech, Mike contributes expertise in design and evaluation of digital health, medical device interventions and assistive technologies. He is co-investigator on the RADAR-CNS (remote/mobile monitoring), Brain+ AD-Detect-Prevent (cognitive training app) and gameChange (virtual reality therapy for psychosis) grants focussing on pathways, value propositions and user perspectives for the technologies involved. He advises on health technology assessments for National Health Service organisations and industry.
