There has been a rapid increase in the number and types of digital technologies being used in mental healthcare.

This raises questions about how to regulate these new technologies to ensure that patients and healthcare professionals can be confident that the products they are using are safe. We also need to consider how we evaluate these products as the speed at which digital technologies evolve means that traditional healthcare evaluation methods can struggle to keep up. We work with organisations such as the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) to develop new guidance and methods the assessment.
